The NJ4S - Statewide Student Support Services provide an array of wellness services to support students and their parents or caregivers. Student Support Services Hubs, located across the state, connect students and their parents and caregivers with services to address social, emotional, and mental health well-being. Services are provided in schools and other convenient community locations, such as libraries and community centers.
Programming is student-centered, with evidence-based prevention and intervention programming, including substance use prevention, sexual health and pregnancy prevention, suicide prevention, anti-bullying, and violence prevention. All services are designed based on the needs of each school district in the community and with input from partners and advisory board members. The following are the three tiers of services:
- Tier 1 services include universal prevention interventions for elementary, middle, and high school students - including workshops, webinars, assemblies, and trainings.
- Tier 2 services include early identification and focused prevention interventions for middle school and high school students.
- Tier 3 services include intensive and individualized assessment and intervention services and linkages for middle school and high school students.
