Exchange Parent Aide is a supportive and educational in-home services program for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-17. The program is designed to increase safety and reduce risk factors associated with child abuse and neglect.
Families and caregivers will be provided with individualized support, including:
- Assessment of family needs and dynamics
- Problem solving and coping skills
- Observing and modeling effective parenting
- Medical, dental, and mental health needs
- Monitoring safe housing
- Education on child development and safety
- Reduction of parental stressors and risk factors
Staff will work around family's availability by providing services evenings and weekends and a 24/7 on-call system.

Referral
Families currently involved in DCP&P and living in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Morris, Passaic, Salem, Sussex, and Warren counties are eligible for program services. Referrals accepted by self-referral, community partners, and other services providers.
