The Suicide Prevention Education Program provides free training to individuals and groups in the evidence-based Suicide Prevention model, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer). A certified instructor leads each 1-2 hour training which can be conducted either virtually or in person*. Trainings can be custom-tailored to the audience and are available to groups of any size.
*This training qualifies for the 2-hour state training requirement for schools. Continuing Education (CE) certificates can be provided.
Why QPR?
- The QPR model helps individuals recognize someone at risk for suicide, provides the tools to intervene with those at risk, and provides appropriate resources to refer those at risk for help
- The QPR model helps raise the public's awareness and identification of people at risk of suicide
