As a Kaleidoscope volunteer, you will help create a positive and affirming environment for teens and young adults who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Volunteers assist with tabling, leading activities, and supporting monthly meetings for teen and young adult groups. To learn more or apply to volunteer, contact Del Densely.
Volunteers must be culturally competent regarding LGBTQIA+ communities, able to pass required background checks, and be able to work collaboratively. Lived-experience or experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community is highly desired.
Opportunities to volunteer are available in Camden County, Mercer County, Essex County, and Morris County. A one-year commitment is desired.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Increase awareness of services for LGBTQIA+ identifying youth and young adults
- Increase program resources during meetings i.e. identifying: program speakers, affirming social activities, etc.
- Be a positive role model for youth and young adults
