Coffee with a cop day is a national day in which cops go out into the community and offer residents a chance to connect with them. In the City of Camden, the Camden County Police Department teamed up with McDonalds to host games, give away prizes and share a hot cup of coffee with residents.

This is a chance for police officer to break the notion that cops are not friendly and seek to only hurt the community residents. It also faces racial issues especially in today's world were police brutality is one of top issues. 

The police departmeent spent a few hours talking to kids and teenagers which could potentially help them get over their fears of police officers. By building these ties the community can only get stronger and make bigger connections.
