Our Shelter

Clients (single, homeless mothers over the age of 18) learn the following skills during their stay in the program:

  • Care of a small apartment
  • Financial responsibility and budgeting
  • The necessity of continuing their education
  • Understanding themselves and others and learning to change the way they make choices
  • How to use available community resources
  • The joy of becoming self supporting parents in charge of their own lives and responsible for their families

 

Our Day Care

Mother's Arms Infant Day Care provides a nuturing day care in a homelike environment. The hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to  6:00 p.m. for the children of mothers in the program who are trying to become sulf-supportive.

 

GodMother's Blessing Shop

CFS operates the GodMother's Blessing Shop on South Broad Street in Woodbury. The shop's proceeds benefit the Mother/Child Shelter, and the shop is open to the general public. All baby furniture is sold at minimal cost. The shop accepts good, usable clothing, baby furnishings, and household items. Tax deductible receipts will be sent to all who request one.

To volunteer at the GodMother's Blessing Shop sorting, displaying and shelving items to be sold, please call (856) 853-1761.
